Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy describes how the DeskScan iPhone app (“DeskScan”, “we”) handles information. The product website is hosted at aidock.cc. If you have questions, email support@aidock.cc.

Information we do not collect

In version 1.0, DeskScan does not:

• require you to create an account or provide an email address inside the app;
• upload your scanned pages, OCR text, PDFs, filenames, or tags to our servers;
• use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash SDKs;
• track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information stored on your iPhone

To provide the app, DeskScan stores the following on the device:

• page images and documents you scan or import;
• on-device OCR text used for search and filename suggestions;
• names, document type, and optional client or project labels you enter;
• settings such as default export format and whether Face ID lock is on;
• a local record of how many of the first 3 Pro trial documents you have saved, including in the Keychain so deleting a document does not reset the trial.

You can delete a document from its detail screen. That removes its scan and searchable text from this iPhone. Uninstalling DeskScan removes the app’s local files.

Permissions

• Camera. Used to capture pages. Required for live scanning.
• Photos picker. Used only when you choose a photo to import. DeskScan does not request full Photo Library access.
• Face ID. Optional. Used only to unlock the app when you turn on lock in Settings. We do not receive your biometric data; iOS performs the check on the device.

Purchases

DeskScan Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple. Apple handles payment information under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive your card number. The app reads purchase status from StoreKit on this device so Pro features can unlock after you buy or restore.

Sharing you start

When you share a PDF or JPG, iOS sends the file to the destination you pick (Mail, Files, Messages, and so on). Those services have their own policies. DeskScan does not upload the file to aidock.cc when you share.

This website and future backend features

These support and marketing pages are hosted on aidock.cc. Visiting them may create ordinary web server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested) used to operate and secure the site.

Version 1.0 of the iPhone app does not sign in to App Service and does not send feedback, diagnostics, or subscription status to our backend. If we later add optional features that use our servers, we will update this policy before those features ship.

Children

DeskScan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Email support@aidock.cc. There is no in-app account to delete; removing documents or uninstalling the app deletes local DeskScan data on that iPhone.
